Project Highlight - Corazon Del Valle

Project Highlight - Corazon Del Valle

In the heart of Los Angeles’s San Fernando Valley, Corazon Del Valle stands as a testament to the power of thoughtful development. Spearheaded by Holos Communities, this transformative project blends purposeful design with compassionate intent to address the region’s urgent need for affordable housing. This project had also received the 2024 American Institute of Architects Los Angeles (AIA/LA) Design Awards.

What sets Corazon Del Valle apart is its deep commitment to serving low-income individuals and families, including those who have experienced homelessness. This 180-unit development is grounded in principles of healthy and environmentally conscious design, featuring extensive landscaping irrigated by a greywater recycling system and solar panels to reduce environmental impact. The central courtyard unites the four residential buildings, offering a shared garden and gathering space that fosters connection and community.

A standout element of the project is the on-site clinic operated by the San Fernando Community Health Center, offering essential medical services to both residents and the surrounding community, making wellness an integral part of daily life.

Pamex played a key role in enhancing the project’s security and functionality, supplying a comprehensive range of door hardware, including the Enkore Access Control leverset, Fremont Grade 2 interconnected locks, Denver levers, door closers, exit devices, and other essential components. These solutions ensure safety, durability, and accessibility throughout the entire development process.

Corazon Del Valle offers more than housing, it provides a model for sustainable and community-driven urban living.
