Developed by The Pacific Companies, the project sits just steps from the BART Station and within walking distance of the city’s Caltrain Station, giving residents unmatched convenience for commuting, shopping, and connecting with the greater Bay Area.

El Camino Real sits on one of San Mateo County’s busiest boulevards, surrounded by major employers and landmarks. Just minutes from San Francisco International Airport—and neighbors with YouTube’s headquarters, Walmart Global eCommerce, and other big names—the project delivers much-needed housing in a region where demand has long outpaced supply.

Building in high-density areas like this comes with unique challenges: limited space, high costs, and complex logistics make it nearly impossible for traditional construction to keep up with growth. To address this, the development took an innovative approach. Each living unit was built at the Autovol plant, where a combination of advanced robotics and skilled builders produced modular units that could be efficiently transported and assembled on-site. This off-site construction method brought the efficiency, speed, and quality needed to make the project possible.

Designed with comfort and practicality in mind, the community features dedicated bicycle storage, encouraging sustainable transportation options.
